Writer/director Alice Cox's Ana's Time will have its world premiere at the Atlanta Film Festival on Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 7:10pm. In this film, Ana (Michelle Naderman), an Asian American writer in her late twenties, returns home from her step-father's funeral determined to make sense of her abusive past in rural Texas by directing a film based on his posthumously found script. She ends up falling for Ken (Albert M. Chan), a punk musician and barista. The film will be screened at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema (931 Midtown Art Cinema) and will be followed by the feature film Team Picture, by Kentucker Audley.

Albert presents a rough cut of his film, Fate Scores, at 6pm at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Room 2-105. After the screening, he will lead the audience in a discussion about the film, with cast and crew in attendance. The film, which features an ensemble cast, is a thoughtful look at the seemingly random interactions between ten strangers that eventually culminate into something extraordinary. Fate Scores is directed and written by Albert and produced by chanal Productions, in association with Aaron Howland and Seth Howland of 7 Fluid Oz. Productions LLP. The cast includes Albert M. Chan, Heidi Rhodes, Mary Niederkorn, Jonathan Vittum, Angela Gunn, Brian D. Evans, Ben Katz, Kandace Cummings, Katarina Morhacova, and Roxanne Y. Morse. |
