The Butler and the Ball will have its Canadian premiere at the Hamilton Youth Film Festival on Friday, September 11, 2020. The film screens in Showcase 4 at Staircase Theatre, which runs from 9:45-10:45pm. Tickets are available here.
The Butler and the Ball is an urban fairy tale about a lonely boy who enters a contest to become the new butler of a grieving, reclusive singer. The film is directed by eight-year-old Andrew Chan-Possemato, who wrote and produced it with Albert.
Founded in 2017, the annual Hamilton Youth Film Festival is the first film festival in Hamilton to showcase only youth created films. The festival is run completely by students, from high school to college.
