• The Butler and the Ball has been selected for the official competition at the 2021 Children Short Film Festival, an annual competitive film festival held in Paris, France, that features films about, for, or by children. The Butler and the Ball is one of 43 films selected from over 3,000 entries.

    Films in the official competition will be screened on December 4, 2021, at 3pm, in Paris at Bateaux de Paris. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A, dinner, and the awards ceremony. The films will also be screened online from December 1-4, 2021.

    The Butler and the Ball, an urban fairy tale about a lonely boy who enters a contest to become the new butler of a grieving, reclusive singer, was directed by eight-year-old Andrew Chan-Possemato, who wrote and produced it with Albert.
